Excursions are an important part of our child development process. It enlightens and piques curiosity and it is also fun for children.
The Excursion Plan
Students from Nursery 2 through to grade 8 will be spending their last school day (our day) outside the school compound. Letters have been sent to parents and over 400 parents have made payment for the fun trip.
Students from Nursery 2 to KG2 (preschool will be visiting the Legon Mall just opposite UG ( it is a new morden playground developed for toddlers below 6 years.
We (events coordinator & team) have been there to inspect facilities there and it’s all safe and amazing. They have train for kids and a whole lot of fun packed stuff.
Our staff student ratio for these trips are 1:7. Vic and her staff will be leading this team.
Students from grades 1 – 3 will be visiting the Legon botanical gardens which is just on the Atomic Haatso road, you can Google these places and see their facilities. Here, students have a lot to learn and have fun.
I and the lower grades staff will be leading this batch. The Legon group (preschool – grade 3) will be spending a maximum of 4 hours at the venues.
Students from grades 4 to grade 8 will be visiting the Kpong water headworks (Ghana water company) and from there, they move to the Shai Hills Resource Reserve, all at the same vicinity. This group is more of educational. Do google to see, it’s a whole lot to learn on. They will finally cool off at a resort by the river to take their lunch, from there they return to school.
We have contacted the services of VIP transport service and we have currently booked 8 busses earmarked for these trips. 4 for Legon and 4 for Kpong.
