Building a Children's Library Together
AGS has always longed for a good children’s library, but it has become very clear that under the current budgets it will take a very longtime to turn this into reality. It is for this reason the school has launched the “Building the children’s library together project”.
Abena Kyiwaa Ahenkorah a junior at Emma Williard School, Albany, USA is leading an effort to raise the necessary funds to complete the library project. She has so far funded bookshelves and a circulation desk, the donation link is on your left. AGS has promised to add a librarian to its staff when the library is running.

Goals of the Library
- Provide a library for the school and the children in the community.

- 50,000 physical volumes

- Unpublished children’s materials from local writers.
Introducing Janet Catherine Rickert
- The Library is dedicated to the memory of Janet Catherine Rickert of Fairfax Virginia, USA for her immense contributions to the school.
- Her devotion to children and service to foster children and adoptees through her work as a professional Social Worker.
- An endearing friend who has contributed so much to the family of the founders of Accra Grammar School.
