The founder’s day celebration is a solemn occasion observed annually to remember Mr. Elizabeth Ahenkorah, to whom Accra Grammar School was dedicated to by her children.

Annual traditional ceremony for a woman who dedicated 38 years of her life to the education of children. Upon whose idea AGS was built, even though she never ever got to see the school. May she continue to rest in perfect peace.
It is our prayer that the virtues and values she represented will be imbued in these wonderful children forever. The love off all and the equal treatment off all.
